News Network News Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education jointly issued the "Notice on the Announcement of the Acceptance Results of the 2021 Local Colleges and Universities' Discipline Innovation and Intelligence Introducing Base", and Qingdao University's "Polymer Hybrid Materials Innovation and Intelligence Introducing Base" passed successfully. President Xia Dongwei, Director of Science and Technology Division Li Ronggui and Base Director Tang Jianguo participated in the defense meeting online.
This acceptance was jointly initiated by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education in October 2021, and targeted at the first batch of local colleges and universities "Base for Discipline Innovation and Intelligence Introducing in Higher Education Institutions" (short for 111 Base) approved for project construction in 2016. This acceptance relies on the unit to submit the acceptance application, combine the expert preliminary evaluation and the remote expert acceptance defense and other parts, strictly review these bases’ five-year operational performance and evaluate the realization degree of their target and content, and finally make a pass or fail evaluation. The bases that pass the acceptance will be included in the new round of construction cycle for support.
Qingdao University has three national-level platforms of "one center and two bases" for hybrid materials, which have successfully passed the evaluation and acceptance of the first construction cycle. Among them, the National International Joint Research Center for Hybrid Materials Technology and the National Demonstration Base for International Science and Technology Cooperation of Polymer Hybrid Materials will pass the assessment of the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2021.
With the strong support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Qingdao University's "Polymer Hybrid Materials Innovation and Intelligence Introducing Base" has brought in international frontier foreign experts in this field, focused on the optical quantum industry technology of hybrid materials, and undertaken more than 20 national important and general topics, such as the national key research and development plan, the national special talent plan, the national intelligence introducing plan, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, which were integrated into the national strategic needs. It also won two Chinese Government Friendship Awards, one first prize of Shandong Science and Technology Award, one first prize of Qingdao Science and Technology Progress and other 7 national and provincial awards. What’s more, it published more than 200 high-level research papers and possessed more than 60 invention patents (including one in the United States and one in Europe) authorized by the state. All above theoretical and technological achievements have obtained great economic and social benefits, and have effectively promoted all-round development of disciplines and national platforms.
