News Network News Recently, the China Scholarship Council announced the evaluation results of the 2021 program to promote international cooperation with Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Qingdao University was approved as the "International Cooperation Program between Qingdao University and St. Petersburg State University in Russia".

St. Petersburg State University is a world-renowned public research university, which is the first university in the Russian-speaking world and one of the top two universities in Russia whose QS world ranking is 225 in 2021.

Through this project, a total of 23 visiting scholars, doctoral students, master students and undergraduates will be funded to go to St. Petersburg University in Russia to study or study for a degree every year. The China Scholarship Council will provide scholarships and one-time round-trip international travel expenses for eligible applicants for the Qingdao University program. Also, tuition assistance is provided for master and doctoral students.

This program is the first time that Qingdao University has been approved by the China Scholarship Council for international cooperation and training programs, and it is also the first Sino-Russian government scholarship program of Qingdao University. The project provides an important international cooperation platform for the international development of mathematics and related disciplines, offers strong financial support for international scientific and technological cooperation, teachers to study abroad, and students' international cultivation, and opens up new channels for students from Qingdao University to go abroad for further study after graduation and internationalization of talent training.
