In order to promote the economic and cultural exchanges between China and Pakistan and activate the academic atmosphere of campus, on the morning of December 11, 2022, Mr. Kadir, Pakistan's Commercial Counsellor in China, gave an online academic lecture on "Pakistan's Economic Situation and Pakistan China Economic and Trade Cooperation", and 100 teachers, graduate students and undergraduates from the School of Economics and the School of Business listened to the academic lecture. The event was hosted by the the Belt and Road Research Institute, and co-organized by the School of Economics and the School of Business.

Business Counsellor Kadir graduated from Cardiff University in the UK with bachelor's degree and master's degree, and received a bachelor of science degree and a master's degree in banking and finance from Cardiff University. After graduation, he worked in the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan and has rich practical experience and theoretical literacy in the field of trade and investment. From August 2022 to now, he has served as Pakistan's Trade and Investment Counsellor in China.
