Liu Xihua is currently the dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Economics of Qingdao University. He is also a member of the Economics Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, secretary-general of the Shandong Finance Teaching Steering Committee, member of the Shandong Provincial People's Government Disciplinary Review Group, a famous teacher in Shandong Province, a high-end financial talent in Shandong Province, and an executive director of the Chinese Society of Quantitative Economics, China Member of the Board of Directors of the Annual Meeting of Finance, Member of the Board of Directors of the Annual Meeting of China Financial Management, Director of the Council of the World Chinese Real Estate Society, Vice Chairman of the Shandong Applied Statistics Association, etc.

Professor Liu Xihua's main research fields are: financial econometrics, insurance economics, quantitative economic analysis, etc. In recent years, he has presided over and completed 1 general project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of the National Philosophy and Social Science Foundation, 1 key project of the National Statistical Science Research Project, and 6 other provincial and ministerial scientific research projects; published 5 academic works (including co-author), won 5 teaching and scientific research achievement awards in Shandong Province. He has published more than 90 papers in Chinese and foreign academic journals such as "China Soft Science", "Systems Engineering Theory and Practice", "International Review of Economics & Finance" and "Pacific-Basin Finance Journal".

In addition to teaching and research work, Professor Liu Xihua is also invited to provide decision-making consultation and consulting services for the government and enterprises. He is also an invited researcher of the Shandong Provincial People's Government Research Center, a member of the Decision-making Advisory Committee of the Shandong Think Tank Alliance, and an expert of the Qingdao Municipal Leading Group Office for Deepening Reform, and an expert from the Qingdao Insurance Industry Think Tank, etc.
