Xu Xiude is currently a professor at Qingdao University, the dean of the Belt and Road Research Institute of Qingdao University, and a doctoral supervisor.
In 1993, he went to Japan for cooperative research and returned to teach in 1998. Main research directions: world economy, international trade, innovation management, etc. He has undertaken a number of national social science fund projects, a number of social science planning projects of the Ministry of Education and Shandong Province, and a number of government and enterprise cooperative research projects, with a research project funding of more than 1 million yuan. He has won 2 second prizes for outstanding achievements in social sciences in Shandong Province and 1 first prize for outstanding achievements in social sciences in Qingdao. He has published more than 20 papers, 2 of which were adopted by the National Social Science Fund Achievement Report, and 2 monographs. The research result "China's Trade Index with SCO Member States" led by the team in cooperation with Qingdao Customs was first released by the spokesperson of the General Administration of Customs, and is now regularly published on the special website of the General Administration of Customs.
