Qingdao University

Qingdao University is situated in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, which is a famous tourist destination and leisure city of China. It was founded in 1909 and now is one of the key universities in China. In 1993, Qingdao University became even more versatile when it was merged with three other major universities. It has a wide range of disciplines and is accredited to grant Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees.

As one of the 50 Universities approved the qualification of enrolling international students by Ministry of Education, Qingdao University started enrollment of international students from 1987. Qingdao University was approved as HSK test center by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) in 1997. QU was authorized as one of 27 universities which is in conformity with the International students Education standard in China. In 2019, over 1700 international students from 96 countries come to study at Qingdao University.

Business School

The Business School of Qingdao University is located in the urban wealth center of Qingdao, a famous historical and cultural city. Based on the Shandong Peninsula and facing the world, Business School cultivates international business elites and high-level research talents with humanistic feelings according to the market demand and the characteristics of Qingdao city.

The Business School has 3576 registered students. Among them, there are 2663 full-time undergraduates, 862 postgraduates with master's degrees, 33 doctoral students and 18 international students. At present, Business School has a post-doctoral program named “Management Science and Engineering”; doctoral program of “Management Science and Engineering”; “Business Administration” and “Management Science and Engineering”; Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Engineering Management (MEM), Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) and Master of International Business (MIB). The major of business administration was approved as a national first-class undergraduate major in 2019.

Introduction to MIB

Qingdao University is one of the 121 MIB program training units authorized by the Academic Degrees Office of the State Council. It has enrolled MIB postgraduates since 2019, and is one of the earliest universities to carry out MIB education in Shandong Peninsula. Qingdao University MIB program aims to cultivate international, high-level, application-oriented and composite professionals with social responsibility and professional ethics, global vision and innovation consciousness, international business professional skills and literacy, and cross-cultural communication ability, who are capable of international business and management. The education highlights the close integration of school and industry training, emphasizes the basic features of an international, open education system and diversified faculty, and focuses on the cultivation of innovative spirit and practical ability. The full-time faculty team has rich teaching and research experience, and most of them have education experience in famous universities in the UK, South Korea, Denmark, Australia, etc. Some of the MIB postgraduates have been trained and entered international famous universities such as the University of Newcastle for doctoral studies after graduation, and many of them have entered large multinational companies to work, such as Haier and Hisense, which have been widely praised by employers.

Application Information

Application Period:April 1st to May 20th every year

Application:

1. Application form for degree-seeking international students in Qingdao university（Fill in online: http://istudy.qdu.edu.cn/apply/）

2. A copy of your passport（Scan and upload）

3. Certificate of academic qualifications must be original or notarized in Chinese or English.（Scan and upload）Note: Fresh graduates are required to provide proof of graduation or proof of attendance. They must be required to submit academic credentials to be eligible for admission.

4. Highest academic transcripts，must be original or notarized in Chinese or English.（Scan and upload）

5. Certificate of English proficiency
·Applicants with English as a native language are exempted from English language certificate.
·Applicants from non-English speaking countries must provide IELTS (6.0 or above), new TOEFL (75 points or above) or other comparable certification of English proficiency.
·Applicants who have obtained their highest degree with English as the medium of instruction are exempted from providing language proficiency certification, but proof indicating the language medium is required.

6. Recommendation letters from two associate professors, experts, or scholars with the equal title.

* All documents mentioned above should be written in Chinese or English and should be an original or notarized copy.

1. This fee structure will be used from the beginning of the study until graduation.

2. All the fees should be paid in Chinese currency (RMB)

3. There can be no refunds available (for fees of any kind) if requested for personal reasons during the period of study at our university.

Scholarship

Scholarship provides full coverage tuition fee. Quota for Scholarship: 10 persons
