The Team of Professor Tang Jianguo from Qingdao University Won the First Prize of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award in 2021

Provincial Party Secretary Li Ganjie, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor Zhou Naixiang and other provincial leaders presented awards to the winners.

The innovation team led by Professor Tang Jianguo, director of the National Hybrid Materials Technology International Joint Research Center of Qingdao University and dean of the Hybrid Materials Research Institute, completed the achievement of "multiple hybrid nano-assemblies and key technologies for optoelectronic bio-flexible wearables", which won the First Prize of 2021 Shandong Science and Technology Progress.

Professor Tang Jianguo's innovative team has been sharpening a sword for 20 years, developing the research field of hybrid materials, focusing on the research of "photon quantum industry technology of hybrid materials", and continuing to conduct research on the photonic, electronic and biosensing properties of multiple hybrid nano-assemblies, and invented the heterogeneous components induced polymer nano-aggregates, dedicated to solving key technical problems in flexible wearables, and realizing wearable industrial applications. With the support of 12 national-level projects such as the National Key Basic Research and Development Program (973 Program), the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and a number of provincial and municipal science and technology projects, the project innovation team has carried out in-depth multidisciplinary research, international scientific and technological cooperation and college-enterprise cooperation among industry, university, and research. The core technology has obtained 2 international invention patents, more than 20 national invention patents, and published more than 130 high-level papers. After the core technology is developed and implemented by the cooperative enterprise, the products are sold to more than 10 countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and South Korea, bringing good economic and social benefits.

In recent years, all three national platforms, the National Joint Research Center for Hybrid Materials Technology, the National Innovation and Intelligence Introducing Base of Polymer Hybrid Materials, and the National Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Polymer Hybrid Materials (“One Center and Two Bases”), which are in Professor Tang Jianguo’s charge, completed the first cycle of construction tasks with excellent results, and passed national evaluation and acceptance. The introduced foreign experts here made outstanding achievements with two Chinese Government Friendship Awards, one Qilu Friendship Award, two Qingdao International Cooperation Awards and one Qingdao International Cooperation Award and one Qingdao Outstanding Contribution Award.

In 2021, Shandong Province awarded a total of 303 projects (candidates) with provincial science and technology awards. Among them, 45 achievements won the Natural Science Award, 11 achievements won the Technology Invention Award, and 243 achievements won the Science and Technology Progress Award. As the host unit, Qingdao University has won a total of 12 Shandong Science and Technology Awards, including 1 first prize, 9 second prizes, 2 third prizes, and a total of 10 second prizes and above, which is the best score in history.
