Du Fangbo, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, and Li Jun, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President, attended the meeting.

Hu Jinyan emphasized that the construction of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade is a major political task entrusted by General Secretary Xi Jinping to Qingdao, Shandong Province, and it's an important carrier of the national strategy. Everyone should fully understand the great significance of the construction of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, base upon the presence, focus on the medium and long term, plan the future development layout with a strategic vision, and do a good job in the top-level design of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade; at the same time, it is necessary to concretize various tasks, and implement them well. Hu Jinyan pointed out that in the near future, we must straighten out the system and mechanism as soon as possible, formulate development plans with high standards from a high starting point, build a clear training system, and make full preparations for the unveiling of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade. Focusing on the medium and long-term planning of the institute, it is necessary to combine the institute's "14th Five-Year Plan", plan for SCO countries' exchanges and cooperation, training programs, and personnel training as a whole, and accelerate the construction of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade.

The meeting conveyed and studied the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee's plan for the construction of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, researched the composition of the working committee of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade and the establishment of the SCO Training Center of Qingdao University.
